Stache is currently in beta. The service is provided on an as-is, as-available basis. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We are actively developing and improving the platform, and your use during this period helps us build a better product.
By using Stache during beta, you acknowledge that the service may contain bugs, errors, and incomplete features. We strongly recommend maintaining your own backups of any data you enter.
By signing in to Stache, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Stache is currently available to users in the United States only. By using the service, you represent that you are located in the United States and are at least 18 years of age. We may expand availability to additional regions in the future.
Stache is a personal and business finance tracking application. It helps you record, categorize, and analyze financial transactions. Stache is not a bank, financial advisor, tax preparation service, or accounting firm. The service is intended for personal record-keeping only.
Nothing in Stache constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. All reports, summaries, and categorizations are for informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, and legal decisions.
You own all data you enter into Stache. We do not sell, share, or monetize your financial data. You may export your data at any time via Settings. Upon account deletion, your data is retained for 30 days (in case you change your mind), then permanently removed from our systems.
Stache is designed for financial record-keeping. You are solely responsible for any documents, receipts, or files you upload. We discourage uploading highly sensitive data unrelated to financial record-keeping. We are not responsible for any regulatory obligations related to sensitive data you choose to store in the service.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Stache is not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.
Stache uses Anthropic's Claude AI via their commercial API to process uploaded receipts and statements. Your data is never used to train AI models.Anthropic's commercial API terms explicitly prohibit using customer data for model training. API data is retained by Anthropic for up to 7 days for abuse monitoring purposes only, then automatically deleted.
You agree not to: (a) use Stache for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to access other users' data; (c) interfere with or disrupt the service; (d) reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; (e) use automated means to access the service beyond normal use.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data (encryption at rest and in transit), we cannot guarantee against data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We strongly recommend periodically exporting your data.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STACHE OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50).
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. After requesting deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion and restore your account. After 30 days, all your data — including transactions, receipts, uploaded files, and account information — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
